Helicopter Solutions for Energy, Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind
SkyMatch Group helps energy, oil & gas and offshore wind companies source and coordinate suitable licensed helicopter operators for crew changes, maintenance windows, technician transfers and urgent industrial support. SkyMatch is an independent broker and does not operate aircraft, confirm offshore approvals or guarantee availability.
Offshore and energy missions are decided by rotation size, weather windows, deck or landing-point acceptance and the operator's offshore approvals. The calculators below turn the rotation into planning numbers; the readiness checker shows which approvals and details are still missing before any operator can respond.
Where a helicopter is used
Offshore crew change and rotation
Moving technicians to and from platforms, vessels and offshore wind assets on a repeating rotation pattern.
Maintenance and inspection windows
Fitting transfers into a limited weather or production window where every hour of access counts.
Technician and specialist mobilisation
Getting a specialist, part or diagnostic team to a producing asset faster than road and vessel allow.
Urgent industrial requirements
Unplanned shutdown or failure where downtime cost, not charter cost, is the deciding number.
Onshore energy sites and pipelines
Access to substations, pipeline corridors, terminals and remote onshore energy infrastructure.
Start with the numbers
These existing SkyMatch tools cover the numbers energy buyers are asked for internally before a charter is approved.
Relevant mission pages
What to prepare before requesting
- Asset or field name, and the departure base or airport you expect to use.
- Rotation size: people per flight, flights per rotation, frequency.
- Offshore or onshore, and whether a deck landing or hoist is involved.
- Baggage and cargo weight per person.
- Required training and survival-equipment standards your company applies.
- Campaign duration, standby requirements and date window.
What happens after you submit
- A SkyMatch coordinator reads the mission and comes back with anything missing before an operator review is possible.
- We identify independent licensed operators that may be able to assess the requirement.
- The mission brief goes out for assessment; aircraft, availability, permissions and operating limits are theirs to confirm.
- You receive the quotation options that come back, with the conditions attached to each.
- Nothing is booked, priced or promised until an operator confirms, and you and the operator are never connected automatically.
What is fixed, and what is not
- SkyMatch Group is an independent broker and coordination platform, not an aircraft operator.
- Aircraft type, availability, pricing, weather limits, permits and landing permissions are confirmed by a licensed operator and by whoever controls the landing point.
- Every request is reviewed by a person before an operator is considered.
- No buyer is connected to an operator automatically — introductions are made only after approval.
- Calculator outputs are indicative planning figures, not quotations.
Questions this industry asks first
Can you confirm an offshore-approved operator and aircraft for our field?
Not in advance. Offshore approvals, deck acceptance and aircraft suitability are confirmed by the operator and the asset owner. The assessment establishes what your requirement demands before operators are approached.
Do you publish offshore charter prices?
No. The calculators give indicative planning figures only. Offshore pricing depends on aircraft, rotation, standby, fuel and contract structure, and is quoted by the operator.
We need standby cover during a campaign. Is that possible?
Standby and campaign arrangements are common in this sector but are contracted case by case. State the duration and coverage you need in the request.
Who decides whether the flight goes in marginal weather?
The operator and its crew hold the operational authority and the final go/no-go decision. SkyMatch never overrides that.
Request a Mission Assessment
Send the rotation or the incident as it stands. A coordinator reviews it, states what is still needed for an operator to respond, and sources licensed operators with the relevant offshore or industrial experience.
Reviewed by a person. No price, availability or landing permission is confirmed before an operator does so.
SkyMatch Group sources and coordinates independent licensed helicopter operators worldwide. It does not operate aircraft. Aircraft, availability, pricing, weather, permits and landing permissions are confirmed by the operator and the controlling party after review.
