What actually moves this number
- Positioning distance. In remote industrial markets the empty legs often cost more than the productive sector.

No. Industrial charter is whole-aircraft: you pay for the aircraft, crew and mission regardless of how many seats are filled. The per-person figure here is simply the mission cost divided by heads, useful for internal budgeting only.
Why does positioning cost so much on remote missions?
The aircraft has to reach the job from wherever it is based. In markets with few operators that can be an hour or more each way, flown empty and charged.
Why is the cost shown as a band rather than a price?
Helicopters are chartered whole-aircraft, per mission. The final figure depends on which airframe is genuinely available, where it is based, positioning distance, standby and waiting, fuel and handling, permits and time of day. A band is honest at planning stage; a single number would not be.
