Utilities & Grid — questions we get asked
Can you handle live-line inspection work?
Yes — we source operators certified for live-line (energised) work, including barehand and stick methods where the local utility permits, alongside standard de-energised patrols.
What survey payloads do you support?
Gyro-stabilised RGB, high-resolution thermal (corona and hotspot detection) and LiDAR pods for vegetation encroachment and asset modelling. Deliverables can be raw data, orthomosaics or NERC/ENTSO-E compliant reports.
How fast can you mobilise after a storm or outage?
For declared outages our desk activates within the hour and we usually have a patrol helicopter airborne the same day, weather permitting. Standing agreements shorten that further.
Do you coordinate with grid control rooms and outage windows?
Yes. Our concierge team schedules flights inside your planned outage windows and holds a direct line with your control room and dispatch for real-time re-routing.
Can helicopters install insulators, spacers and marker balls?
We book operators equipped for external-load and hoist work — insulator swaps, spacer damper installation and aerial marker ball placement on transmission conductors.
What geographies do you cover?
We arrange utility helicopter work in 18+ countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select North American markets, always with locally-permitted operators.
