Operator responsibility and flight disclaimer

SkyMatch Group is an independent global helicopter charter concierge and sourcing platform that helps clients compare and coordinate helicopter charter options through licensed third-party operators worldwide.

What SkyMatch is

  • · An independent concierge and sourcing platform engaged on the client's side of the table.
  • · A single point of contact that translates a mission into a comparable set of operator options.
  • · A feasibility check on landing points, timing, payload and permissions before options are sent.
  • · A human coordinator who stays with the request through changes, delays and departure.
  • · A comparison layer across licensed third-party operators, not a fleet with seats to fill.

What SkyMatch is not

  • · Not a helicopter operator and not an air carrier — SkyMatch holds no Air Operator Certificate.
  • · Not an aircraft owner — SkyMatch owns, leases and shares no helicopters.
  • · Does not employ pilots or cabin crew for charter flights.
  • · Not an insurer, lender, bank, credit provider or financial advisor.
  • · Does not guarantee aircraft availability, flight approval, weather suitability, landing permissions, final price or operator acceptance.
  • · Does not hold operational control of any flight; the operator alone decides whether a flight departs.

Where responsibility sits, item by item

Who performs the flight

Every flight arranged through SkyMatch is performed by an independent licensed third-party operator under its own Air Operator Certificate, insurance and operations manual. The charter agreement is between the client and that operator.

Safety and operational control

The operator and its commander hold full operational control: aircraft serviceability, crew duty, load sheet, route, fuel policy and the final decision to depart, divert or cancel. SkyMatch has no authority over any of these.

Weather

Helicopter operations are weather-sensitive. Visibility, cloud base, wind, icing, sea state and heat can delay, reroute or cancel a flight. No weather outcome is promised, and a weather cancellation is an operator decision.

Permits and landing permissions

Landing at a hotel, villa, yacht, lodge, resort or private site requires the site owner's consent and, in many countries, an aviation-authority or local-government permit. Permission is requested, never assumed, and can be refused or withdrawn.

Payload and luggage

Seats are limited by weight as well as by count. Passenger weights, luggage dimensions, fuel load, temperature and altitude all reduce usable payload, and the operator's final load sheet governs what actually flies.

Local aviation authority rules

Airspace access, night operations, curfews, over-water rules, single-engine limits over congested areas and cross-border permits vary by country and are set by the local authority, not by SkyMatch or the client.

Pricing and availability

Figures published on SkyMatch pages and calculators are planning estimates. A price becomes real only when a specific operator issues a written quotation for the specific date, and it remains subject to positioning, handling, slots, waiting time and acceptance.

After operator confirmation

Once the operator confirms, the client contracts and pays the operator directly. SkyMatch continues to coordinate timings, meeting points and changes, but the operator's terms, cancellation policy and liability regime apply.
