Mainly when wave height stops vessels, the farm is far offshore, or a stopped turbine needs a technician quickly. The operator confirms weather limits for each flight.
What training do passengers need?
Offshore flights usually require offshore safety and helicopter underwater escape training; the operator and wind farm owner state the exact requirements.
