Single or twin engine: how it changes the cost
Twin-engine VIP helicopters usually cost more per flight than light singles: more fuel, often two pilots, heavier maintenance, and fewer aircraft, so positioning can be longer. Clients often ask for a twin on longer over-water legs, over large cities, at night or under a company travel policy; the local rules and the operator's certificate decide whether a route needs one. A private helicopter transfer is a point-to-point flight, for example an airport to a city heliport, resort or event.
