Helicopter Charter Cost in the UAE

UAE helicopter demand is driven by Dubai and Abu Dhabi corporate transfers, hotel and residential rooftop helipads, offshore oil and gas support, and government / VIP movements. The Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab and Yas Island helipads are the most requested private endpoints.

SkyMatch Group is an independent coordination platform and does not own or operate aircraft. SkyMatch reviews the request and arranges the flight; quotes, operational compliance and documentation are confirmed in a written quote.

Aircraft categories used in United Arab Emirates

GITEX, ADIPEC, F1 Abu Dhabi and DP World Tour peaks concentrate demand; regulator permit lead times matter more than seasonality.

Landing rules in the United Arab Emirates

  • The UAE's civil aviation authority is the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA); paid passenger flights are run by licensed operators, and SkyMatch is a broker that does not operate aircraft.
  • Dubai International (DXB / OMDB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC / OMDW) are published in the GCAA AIP. These are airport records only; Al Maktoum's helicopter stands carry use restrictions, and no stand, transfer slot or landing permission is offered or assumed.
  • Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen airport (OMAD) publishes a helicopter landing area, H13/H31, in the GCAA AIP for daytime visual conditions only. That is a facility record, not a reserved slot or permission for your trip.
  • Qasr Al Sarab's H129 is listed in the AIP with prior permission required; its current status and access for passenger charters are unconfirmed.
  • Hotel, residential and office rooftop pads are never assumed available; the owner and the operator must both accept the aircraft and the flight.
  • The licensed operator decides on every landing site, permit and the day's weather; keep a road alternative.

How to estimate your mission cost

Uses the free Charter Budget & Cost Planner

  1. 1

    Identify approved endpoints

Not every hotel helipad is available for every operator. The planner flags this so estimates align with realistic pickups.

  2. 2

Choose aircraft with heat performance in mind

Summer temperatures reduce payload on some aircraft; the operator may recommend a category up for the same passenger count.

  3. 3

    Include permit and handling

Corporate and cross-emirate flights carry permit fees that the planner captures separately for transparent budgeting.

  4. 4

Send to SkyMatch for approved operators

SkyMatch compares GCAA-approved operators objectively — we do not own or promote any fleet.

Frequently asked questions — United Arab Emirates

How much is Dubai to Abu Dhabi by helicopter?

The price depends on aircraft category, positioning, landing arrangements and timing; SkyMatch confirms the final quote.

Can I land on a Dubai hotel helipad?

Hotel and rooftop pads are never assumed available. The official records SkyMatch relies on are the GCAA AIP entries for Dubai International (DXB / OMDB), Al Maktoum International (DWC / OMDW) and Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi (OMAD); any other pad needs the owner's and the licensed operator's acceptance for your flight.

Do you support offshore work in the UAE?

Yes — SkyMatch coordinates offshore-capable operators (AW139 / S-76 / S-92 class) for oil and gas operations under contract terms.

United Arab Emirates: landing points, local terms and rules

Official records confirm that a location is listed, not that it is available for your flight. Aircraft suitability, landing access, permissions and timing are checked per request before written confirmation.

Confirmed from official records

  • Dubai International (DXB / OMDB) — Named in the GCAA AIP location index. This establishes the airport reference, not a helicopter transfer, boarding slot or landing permission.
  • Al Maktoum International, Dubai (DWC / OMDW) — Published in the GCAA AIP. Helicopter stands have specific-use restrictions; no access to those stands is offered or assumed by this page.
  • Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi (OMAD), H13/H31 helicopter landing area — GCAA AIP AD 2.16 publishes a 550 × 20 m asphalt FATO, with H13/H31 direction designations and daytime visual meteorological conditions (VMC) only. These are published facility details, not passenger-charter access, a slot or permission for your flight. Airport acceptance, handling, aircraft suitability and current notices must be checked.
  • Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort Heliport (H129) — GCAA AIP AD 3 lists this heliport with VFR traffic and prior permission required. Its current verified HCR, declared Operational status and permission for a proposed passenger charter have not been confirmed; no resort landing is offered as approved.

Landing rules to plan around

  • For domestic heliports within its scope, GCAA's September 2026 bulletin requires a verified HCR with Operational status for planned domestic helicopter operations. The bulletin has scope exceptions and does not establish the status of any pad named here.
  • The GCAA bulletin states that declared Operational status is not a GCAA-issued approval or permission. H129's AIP listing does not establish current HCR status or site-owner consent. UAE landing permission remains unverified until current registration evidence and access approval covering the proposed flight are obtained.
  • Site-owner consent, current registration or certification, aircraft suitability, required clearances and any applicable airport restrictions are checked for the actual request. An existing rooftop, resort or yacht pad is not automatically available.
  • If a requested private landing cannot be confirmed, an airport arrival with onward ground transport may be assessed instead. Neither option is guaranteed.
  • Flight times are estimates. Availability, landing access, approvals and commercial terms remain subject to review and written confirmation.
