How many passengers and bags can the helicopter carry?

Short answer

It depends on the aircraft and on total weight, not just seats. Light helicopters suit small groups with soft bags; larger twin-engine aircraft take more. Send exact passenger numbers, approximate weights and bag sizes so the operator can check.

Why weight matters more than seats

A helicopter can have free seats and still be at its weight limit once fuel, passengers and bags are added. Longer flights need more fuel, which can reduce what the aircraft carries. The operator does this calculation for each flight.

Bags

Soft bags are easier to load than hard suitcases.
Large or unusual items (golf bags, skis, instruments) must be declared in advance.
If bags do not fit, a car can sometimes carry them separately — ask us.
