Where a suitable and permitted landing area exists, yes — that is the core use case. Where it does not, the realistic plan is the nearest usable landing point plus a short ground or water leg. The operator assesses this from coordinates, photographs and any site survey.
Why does the tool not show a price?
Because an honest industrial figure cannot be produced from a journey comparison. Positioning, crew, remote configuration, standby, fuel logistics and permits dominate the cost and are operator-specific. How much time can a helicopter actually save on a remote project visit?
It depends on how much of the current journey is transfers and waiting rather than movement. Sites reached by drive-plus-boat, or by a connection with an overnight, typically show the largest gains because the helicopter removes the changeovers as well as the distance.
What information is needed to quote a remote mission?
Gateway, site coordinates, dates, passenger count and weights, equipment weights and dimensions, required ground time, whether a landing area exists and any HSE or induction requirements. The RFQ collects all of it in one pass.
