Helicopter mission opportunities: dated events, transfers and site access

Short answer: each listing is a dated, sourced reason a helicopter may help — an event, a transfer corridor, an island season or a hard-to-reach site — with what must be checked before anyone can fly it. It is not a flight on sale. SkyMatch is an independent broker and concierge, not an operator: a licensed operator confirms aircraft, permits, insurance, route, weather, price and timing in writing.

What each status means

  • Research lead

A dated event or published evidence suggests a need. No operator has been asked yet.

  • Operator availability being checked

SkyMatch has asked licensed operators whether they can support the mission. Nothing is offered yet.

  • Quote requested

A licensed operator has been asked for a written quote for a defined brief.

  • Confirmed by operator

A licensed operator has confirmed in writing that it can support the mission for a defined brief. Booking terms still apply.

Listings reviewed 26 October 2026. A listing leaves the page when its event ends or its evidence is due for re-checking. Requests sent to SkyMatch are private and never shown here.

Davos-Klosters: World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2027

Dates:
18–22 January 2027 (dates listed by the World Economic Forum)
Region:
Switzerland · Davos-Klosters, Graubünden
Passengers and luggage
Send the number of travellers and bags per leg. In 2026, meeting-week flights needed pilot and aircraft accreditation, so details are needed early.
Route and mission constraints
For the 2026 meeting, air traffic within 25 nautical miles of Davos was restricted and only specified visual routes could be flown, so approved routes can be longer than the direct line.
Landing and permits
In 2026 flights needed authorisation. The 2027 rules had not been published when checked; last year's rules are not permission for 2027.
Weather
Mid-winter Alpine flying depends on the pilot's weather decision on the day. Keep the rail or road fallback via Landquart.
Operator availability
Not yet checked for 2027.

Our model guide describes these types for this kind of work. The operator decides the actual aircraft for the route, load, altitude and weather.

Next step: Send travel days, travellers and your starting point. We ask licensed operators which 2027 authorisation and accreditation steps apply, in writing.

Weather
The operator and pilot decide on weather on the day; book the road transfer from the airport as part of the plan.
Operator availability
Not yet checked.

Next step: Share your championship days and starting point. We ask operators to check event-period notices nearer the date.

Passengers and luggage
Send passengers, bags and any yacht, hotel or villa involved; island transfers often carry full-size suitcases.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mission opportunity on this page?
A dated event or published evidence that suggests a helicopter could help with a transfer, an event, a remote site or an island trip. It is a planning lead, not a flight on sale, and SkyMatch does not operate it.
What do the status labels mean?
Research lead: evidence exists, no operator asked yet. Operator availability being checked: licensed operators have been asked. Quote requested: an operator has been asked for a written quote. Confirmed by operator: a licensed operator has confirmed in writing for a defined brief. Every listing currently shows the status it has actually reached.
Does a listing mean a helicopter is available?
No. Aircraft, landing permission, route, weather, price and timing are confirmed only by a licensed operator in a written offer. SkyMatch is an independent broker and concierge and does not own or operate aircraft.
Who checks the operator's licence, permits and insurance?
Operator credentials and operational documentation are reviewed during sourcing; SkyMatch does not independently certify or audit operators. Before you book, the written offer should name the operator holding the operating certificate, and you can ask for the approvals and insurance that apply to your flight. The operator remains responsible for flight operations, airworthiness, crew, permissions and safety.
Why are industrial and urgent missions empty?
Nothing is listed without a dated, sourced reason. Industrial and urgent requests are handled one by one through the request forms instead.
Are other customers' enquiries shown here?
No. Requests sent to SkyMatch stay private and are never used as public listings.
