Where you take off in London
The only licensed commercial heliport in London, at Nine Elms on the south bank. Arrive 15 minutes before your slot for screening and the lounge. Festival week is a morning-heavy departure pattern, so the 08:30–10:00 slots go first and the ground leg across the river is the part that runs late.
Both sit on the western side of London and shave three to five minutes off the Cheltenham leg. Northolt is a military station releasing civil slots that can be withdrawn, so Festival itineraries always carry Denham as the pre-priced alternative.
The two jet gateways that matter for Cheltenham. Oxford is only 15 minutes' flying from the course and is the cheapest way in if your aircraft can use it; Farnborough handles the larger cabins and positions the helicopter on the FBO apron for an airside handover.
