Corporate travel
Corporate helicopter transfers requested by WhatsApp
Corporate helicopter movements rarely fail on the flying. They fail on coordination: a changed meeting, an unconfirmed landing point, a passenger added at the last minute, an approval that arrives after the window closes. A WhatsApp thread is a practical place to hold that coordination, as long as the request behind it is structured properly.
An inquiry is not a booking. Nothing is reserved until a qualified operator confirms and you accept in writing.
Who typically runs these requests
- Corporate travel departments and travel managers
- Executive assistants coordinating for one or several principals
- Event and production teams moving crews, speakers or guests
- Family offices and private staff
- Travel agencies and luxury travel advisors requesting on behalf of clients
What makes a corporate request different
The movement is usually part of a larger schedule, so the constraint is rarely the flight itself.
- A hard arrival deadline set by a meeting, a connection or an event slot
- A passenger list that changes up to the last day
- Multiple legs on the same day, sometimes with waiting time in between
- Internal approval steps that run in parallel with the operator's confirmation
- Confidentiality expectations around who is travelling and why
How to structure the first message
- The movement in one line: from, to, date, time
- Passenger count and whether it is likely to change
- Luggage, including equipment or presentation material
- Whether the aircraft should wait between legs
- The deadline that actually matters, and what happens if it slips
- Who is authorised to approve on the company side
Changes, cancellations and the reality of them
Corporate schedules move, and a request should be built expecting that. Tell us early which parts of the movement are fixed and which are provisional, so the request sent to operators reflects reality. Once an operator has confirmed, change and cancellation terms are the operator's, and SkyMatch will set them out in writing before you commit.
What SkyMatch is, and is not, in this arrangement
SkyMatch Group is an independent helicopter charter broker and concierge. We do not own or operate aircraft. Every flight is performed by a qualified operator, and aircraft, routing, landing sites, permits, timings and pricing are confirmed by that operator before anything is treated as final.
A message or a submitted request is an inquiry, not a booking. Nothing is reserved until the operator confirms and you accept in writing.
Frequently asked questions
- Can several people from our company use the same WhatsApp thread?
- Yes. Many companies run one thread per movement or per principal, with the assistant, the traveller and the travel manager all present. What matters for the request is that we know who is authorised to confirm, so a change discussed in the thread is not mistaken for an approval to proceed.
- Do you handle multi-leg days with waiting time?
- Multi-leg movements are prepared as a single request so operators can price the whole day rather than three disconnected flights. Whether the aircraft waits, repositions or is released between legs affects both feasibility and cost, so it is worth stating your preference early.
- Can you invoice a company rather than an individual?
- Commercial and payment arrangements are set out in writing once an operator has confirmed the flight and the terms are known. Tell us at the request stage that the movement is corporate and who should receive the documentation, so nothing has to be reissued later.
