Helicopter charter in Thailand — planned for international travellers

Flying in from the US, Canada or Europe? Skip the domestic connection, the pier and the three-hour minivan. We source CAAT-licensed Thai operators for Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi and Chiang Mai, quote one fixed all-in price and coordinate handling, permits and ground transfers end to end.

Why concierge, not a marketplace

You stay hands-off. We find, negotiate and coordinate.

One brief, one price — from any time zone

You are usually 6 to 12 hours behind Bangkok. Send the mission once from New York, Toronto, Los Angeles or anywhere else and wake up to a single fixed all-in quote instead of chasing Thai operators through overnight WhatsApp threads.

CAAT-licensed operators only

Thailand has a small rotary market and a wide quality spread. We work with operators that confirm a current CAAT air operator certificate, insurance and maintenance status — not tour brokers reselling somebody else's aircraft.

English-speaking crew and ground handling

Briefings, safety cards and coordination in English. FBO handling at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phuket and Samui, plus car transfers at both ends so the day works door to door.

Permits, islands and resorts handled

Island pads, national-park airspace, resort helipads, private estates and superyacht decks all need permission in Thailand. We check feasibility and secure the approvals before you commit.

FAQ

Thailand Helicopter Chartercommon questions

Yes. There is no residency or licence requirement for the passenger — you charter the aircraft with its crew from a CAAT-licensed operator. We need passport details for every passenger, weights for load planning, and the pickup and drop-off points. Nothing else is required from a visitor.

As an indicative range: from about €1,900 for a short light-single hop, €2,400–€2,900 for Phuket to Krabi or Phi Phi, €6,800 or more for Phuket to Koh Samui on a medium twin, and around €9,500 for Bangkok to Samui with a fuel stop. Quotes are all-in — flight, crew, handling, landing and fuel — so there is no surprise invoice at the pad.

Usually yes when you are moving between islands or arriving on a long-haul flight with limited days. Phuket to Koh Samui is roughly 55 minutes in the air against most of a day by road, ferry and connection. For a family or a group of four to six, the door-to-door hours saved are typically the deciding factor rather than the headline rate.

Seven to ten days is comfortable in high season (November to March, and Songkran). Thailand's rotary fleet is small, so peak dates around New Year and Chinese New Year go early. Same-day and next-day departures are often still possible outside those windows, subject to aircraft availability and weather.

Yes. Every operator we place international clients with briefs in English, and your SkyMatch coordinator stays reachable on WhatsApp throughout the mission. French and German briefings can be arranged on request for the ground coordination.

Often, but never assume it. Amanpuri, Trisara, Rosewood Phuket, several Samui estates and a number of yacht helidecks are approved. Others require a nearby pad plus a short car transfer. We check the site, the airspace and the landowner or CAAT permission before quoting so the plan you receive is one that can actually fly.

The Andaman side is wettest from May to October, the Gulf side around November. Rotary operations continue year-round, but visibility and thunderstorms drive go/no-go calls. Every mission gets a defined decision time, and if the operator cancels for weather you are not charged for the flight.

We can canvass operators for urgent and medically-supported transfers, including transfers toward Bangkok hospitals. Tell us the medical requirement in the brief — the aircraft, the crew configuration and the receiving hospital pad all change the plan.
