Private Helicopter Service

A concierge-run private helicopter service for airport transfers, business travel, VIP arrivals and time-critical legs. One brief — vetted operators, transparent pricing, door-to-helipad routing.

Same-day quotes for London, Nice, Milan, Monaco, Dubai · 24–48h for regional & island legs

Why clients use our private helicopter service

SkyMatch is an independent aviation concierge — not an operator. We work for the client, source across operators, and stay accountable end-to-end from RFQ to landing.

Vetted operator network

We source from operators we know — twin-engine IFR, corporate-configured cabins, current maintenance.

Same-day quotes

Concierge routes RFQs to operators in the right region within minutes, not days.

1–8 passenger cabins

Executive, family or team configurations — with the aircraft type chosen to match luggage, seat count and range.

Door-to-helipad routing

We plan pickup at helipads and FBOs closest to the actual origin and destination, not the nearest airport.

Independent coordination

We don't operate aircraft. We coordinate between you and the operators — no lock-in, no hidden mark-ups on tail-number.

Worldwide reach

UK, Europe, Mediterranean, UAE, US East Coast, Alps and islands — one point of contact, any origin.

Private helicopter service — FAQ

Flight times, availability, pricing, booking process, aircraft and safety — the answers we send private clients every week.

Service basics

A private helicopter service is a chartered, non-scheduled flight where the whole aircraft is booked for one party. Unlike scheduled heli-taxi routes, timing, routing and passenger list are entirely yours. SkyMatch sources the aircraft, coordinates the crew and helipad clearances, and handles the paperwork.

A helicopter taxi is a scheduled or shared service on a fixed route. A private helicopter charter is exclusive: you set the origin, destination, timing and passenger list, and the whole aircraft is yours for the leg. Chartered flights can also land at private helipads and estates, not just published heliports.

Flight times & routing

Battersea or Heathrow to the Cotswolds runs ~30–40 minutes. Heathrow to Barnstaple / Chivenor in North Devon is ~1h 10m. Heathrow to Newquay in Cornwall is ~1h 30m. Actual block time depends on aircraft type (single vs twin-engine), weather routing and the landing site.

Nice Côte d'Azur to Monaco is ~7 minutes, Nice to Cannes is ~5 minutes, and Nice to Saint-Tropez is ~25 minutes. These are our most common French Riviera legs and we run them daily during the summer season.

Block time = takeoff to touchdown, and includes air traffic routing, standard cruise speed (typically 130–160 kts for a twin-engine executive helicopter), and any weather-driven detour. On the quote we always send both a straight-line distance and a realistic block-time estimate.

Availability & lead time

For hubs like London, Nice, Milan, Monaco, Dubai or New York, availability inside 3–6 hours is realistic. Regional legs (Devon, Cornwall, Scottish Highlands, Aegean islands) typically need 12–24 hours to position the aircraft, weather permitting.

Yes — same-day and last-minute charters are a core part of what we route. From major hubs we regularly confirm inside 3–6 hours. For urgent medical or business legs we escalate immediately via WhatsApp and reach every operator with matching aircraft in the region.

Operators run a formal weather brief before departure. If minimums aren't met the flight is delayed or rescheduled — safety is non-negotiable. Rebooking terms vary by operator; we make sure the policy is spelled out in writing before you commit funds.

Night operations are possible with twin-engine IFR helicopters and night-rated crews, subject to the destination helipad being lit and permitted for night landings. We confirm eligibility per route before quoting.

Pricing & payment

Single-engine light helicopters (R66, H130) run roughly €1,800–€3,200 per flight hour. Twin-engine IFR machines (H145, AW109, AW139) are €4,500–€9,000+ per hour. We show a live band on our quote form and confirm the exact number once an operator commits.

London to Paris one-way in a twin-engine executive helicopter is typically €12,000–€18,000. London to the Cotswolds runs €3,500–€6,500 depending on aircraft and landing site. Return legs and empty-leg pricing are usually available and can cut cost significantly.

A SkyMatch quote covers block time, fuel, crew, landing fees at the primary heli-site, VAT / local taxes where applicable, and concierge coordination. Add-ons such as ground transfer, catering, extra hold luggage or overnight aircraft positioning are itemised separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

Card, bank transfer and (for many operators) crypto settlement are supported. Payment terms are set by the operating carrier, not by SkyMatch — we surface them clearly with the quote so there are no surprises before you commit.

Yes — empty legs (a helicopter repositioning without passengers) can be 30–60% cheaper than a full charter. They're time- and route-restricted though. Tell us your flexibility and we'll flag matches from our operator network as they appear.

Booking process

Four steps. 1) Submit the RFQ with origin, destination, date/time, passenger and luggage count. 2) We route it to matching operators in the region and return a live quote band inside minutes. 3) You approve a specific tail number and operator. 4) Pay the deposit, receive the flight brief, and depart. WhatsApp us at any step for real-time updates.

Origin, destination (city, hotel, estate or coordinates), preferred date and time window, number of passengers, approximate luggage, and any special requirements (pets, VIP privacy, catering). The more precise the brief, the tighter the quote we can return.

Yes. We regularly plan for private helipads, country estates, hotels, event sites and construction pads. Send the coordinates or address on the quote form and the concierge team will confirm landing permissions with the operator before you commit.

Each charter is confirmed with a per-flight agreement issued by the operating carrier that spells out the aircraft, crew, route, price and cancellation terms. SkyMatch reviews it with you before signature so nothing is buried in the fine print.

Yes — that's one of the most common requests we route. We sync helicopter pickup with private-jet ETAs at LHR, LTN, FAB, LBG, Nice, Milan Linate, Dubai Al Maktoum and other FBOs worldwide.

Aircraft, cabins & safety

Light single-engine helicopters (R66, H130) seat 4–6 passengers. Mid-size twin-engine executive helicopters (H145, AW109) carry 6–8. Heavy VIP twins (AW139, S-76) can seat 9–12. Luggage volume drops as seat count rises, so we always size the aircraft to the actual brief.

We prioritise operators with executive-configured cabins — leather interiors, noise-attenuated cabin, air-conditioning, and discreet crew. Aircraft type is matched to the seat count, luggage volume and range you specify on the RFQ.

Single-engine is fine for VFR daytime legs over land and is cheaper per hour. Twin-engine is the industry standard for over-water routes, night operations, IFR conditions and any VIP mandate. We recommend twin whenever the routing touches sea, mountains or reduced-visibility conditions.

The operating carrier holds the AOC and is regulatory-responsible for the flight. SkyMatch coordinates and vets the operators we work with, but every flight is executed by a licensed carrier under their own operational control.
