How much will the flight cost?

SkyMatch publishes no fixed prices — each mission is quoted individually. The budget planner shows what drives the cost (hours, waiting, overnight, fees) so you can shape the request before sending it; the price is on request.

Before you commit: what is still open, and who confirms it

Most of the uncertainty in a helicopter charter sits before the booking. These are the questions we see open on most first requests, what to tell us to close them faster, and who gives the final answer. SkyMatch is an independent broker and concierge, not an operator.

Is a suitable aircraft available for my date and route?

Tell us: Date, preferred time and how flexible you are (a backup time or day helps).

Confirmed by: The licensed operator confirms aircraft and crew availability in a written offer.

Does the aircraft fit my group, baggage and mission?

Tell us: Passengers, approximate weights, baggage pieces and sizes, any cargo or equipment, and the mission purpose.

Confirmed by: The operator confirms the aircraft type, seats and load it can carry for that route.

Can it land where I need, and what permits apply?

Tell us: Exact pick-up and drop-off points, who controls each site, and any permission you already have.

Confirmed by: The operator and, where required, the relevant authorities and site owners confirm landing access and approvals.

What happens if the weather or access changes?

Tell us: Your latest acceptable arrival time and any fallback (another time, day, landing point or a road option).

Confirmed by: The operator sets the weather limits and the pilot in command makes the final go/no-go decision.

What does the quoted price include?

Tell us: Your budget guidance, if any, and whether waiting, a return leg or an overnight is needed.

Confirmed by: The operator's written offer states the price and what it covers; nothing is final until you accept it.

Who coordinates timing on the day?

Tell us: Arrival flight numbers, meeting times, accessibility or security needs and who should be contacted.

Confirmed by: SkyMatch coordinates the request and the operator's answers; the operator runs the flight itself.

What a written offer should state

  • The operating company that flies the aircraft and its licence or air operator certificate
  • Aircraft type and registration, seats used and the baggage limit
  • Positioning (where the aircraft flies from) and whether it is included
  • Landing, handling and airport fees: included, estimated or billed afterwards
  • Waiting time, return legs or overnight costs
  • Taxes and any SkyMatch fee, where the offer says so
  • Weather, cancellation and refund terms, and who you pay

If a line is missing, ask before you compare totals. SkyMatch publishes no prices.

How SkyMatch coordinates your request

  1. A SkyMatch specialist reviews your brief and asks for anything operators will need.
  2. SkyMatch asks independent licensed operators that may suit the mission for options.
  3. Options come back in writing; SkyMatch sets them side by side so you can compare.
  4. You decide. Nothing is booked, and no payment is taken, until you accept a written offer.

Questions buyers ask us most

What should an event-helicopter RFQ include?
Include the event, departure point, travel date, preferred arrival and return times, passenger count, passenger and baggage weights, and any accessibility or onward-transfer needs. SkyMatch reviews that brief and arranges a suitable helicopter; aircraft, slots, permissions, availability and final price are confirmed in your written quote.
How fast can I get a helicopter quote?
SkyMatch reviews your brief and replies with suitable helicopter options as quickly as possible, subject to availability. Urgent same-day missions are flagged and prioritised, but confirmation always depends on aircraft, crew, permits and weather.
Who manages my flight?
SkyMatch arranges and manages your flight end to end, using a licensed commercial helicopter service. SkyMatch is not an air carrier and does not own or operate aircraft.
What affects the price of a helicopter charter?
Flight time in each direction, positioning (empty) legs, aircraft type and payload, landing and handling fees, crew duty and waiting time, night or IFR capability, permits at private or restricted sites, and seasonal demand around events. Final price and approval are confirmed in your written quote.
Can a helicopter land at my hotel, villa or yacht?
Sometimes. Landing away from a licensed heliport or airport needs site suitability, landowner permission and local authority approval, and a yacht landing needs a certified helideck. Tell us the exact address or vessel and SkyMatch will confirm what is legally possible.
What baggage can I bring?
Payload, not volume, is the limit: passenger weights plus baggage plus fuel must stay inside the aircraft’s limit for that leg. Soft bags are strongly preferred, and skis, golf bags or hard cases should be declared when you request the quote so the right aircraft is offered.
What happens in bad weather?
The operating pilot makes the final go/no-go decision. Low cloud, strong wind, fog or icing can delay or cancel a leg; where possible SkyMatch re-times the flight or arranges ground transport. Cancellation terms are shown in your quote.

SkyMatch Group reviews your request and arranges a suitable helicopter service. Availability depends on aircraft, permits, weather, payload and local rules, and the final price is confirmed in your written quote. SkyMatch is not an air carrier and does not own or operate aircraft.
