Private Helicopter Charter, Yacht Connections, Sea Tours and City Tours
Short answer
SkyMatch is a helicopter charter concierge and broker, not an aircraft operator. Four kinds of request come through the same door: a private charter for your own group, a short connection to a yacht or marina, a coastal or island tour, and a city skyline tour. You send one brief; independent licensed operators review it and confirm the aircraft, the schedule and every landing. Prices are quoted on request.
What you send, and what gets confirmed
Every request starts with the same information and ends with the same answer from a licensed operator. The difference is what the operator has to check.
| Request | What you send | What the operator confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Private charter | Both places, date and time window, passengers and luggage | Aircraft, crew, schedule, route and each landing — then a written quote |
| Yacht or marina connection | Embarkation point, vessel or marina details, timing window | Where the aircraft can meet the vessel, and whether a landing is possible |
| Coastal or island tour | Area, duration, group size, what you want to see, any landing you want | The track flown on the day and whether each landing is permitted |
| City skyline tour | City, preferred time of day, views that matter, duration | The corridor and height allowed by the city's airspace, and the departure point |
Private helicopter charter and hire
Searched as: private helicopter charter · helicopter hire · helicopter rental
A private charter is a whole aircraft for your own passenger group rather than individual seats on a shared service. You set the departure, the destination, the date and the timing; SkyMatch turns that into one written brief and puts it to independent licensed operators.
Aircraft type, cabin configuration and payload depend on the route, the number of passengers and their luggage, and which aircraft an operator can actually commit for your date. None of that is fixed by a search result or a calculator — it is fixed by the operator's written quote for your mission.
What to send
- The place you want to leave from and the place you want to reach (or the area, if you are still deciding).
- The date and the time window, plus whether the flight is one-way, a return or several stops.
- How many passengers travel and how many bags each brings.
- Anything unusual: children, skis, instruments, a pet, wheelchair access, a preferred arrival time.
Helicopter connections to yachts and marinas
Searched as: helicopter yacht transfer · yacht to shore helicopter · marina helicopter transfer
This is a short flight that joins a sea journey you have arranged separately — from shore to an anchorage, from a marina to a vessel, or back again at the end of a charter. The boat, its berth and its schedule are not part of the helicopter request; the flight is planned around them.
Where a helicopter can meet a vessel depends on the anchorage, the vessel's own approval, the wind and the operator's assessment of the approach. A deck landing, a shore helipad and a tender meeting point are three different requests with three different answers, and each one is confirmed rather than assumed.
What to send
- Where you are embarking and where you want to be met (marina, quay, anchorage or vessel name).
- The timing window you are working to and who to contact on the vessel or at the marina.
- Passenger numbers and bags, including anything that cannot get wet.
- Whether the flight is one-way, a return, or a shuttle repeated over several days.
Coastal, island and sea tours by helicopter
Searched as: coastal helicopter tour · island hopping by helicopter · private beach helicopter
A sea or coastal tour is a private sightseeing flight over coastline, cliffs, beaches or a chain of islands, usually returning to the point you left from. It is a request for your own group, not a shared-seat ticket with a fixed commentary and a fixed clock.
Protected areas, minimum heights, airspace boundaries and the weather can all change the track, so the route is set by the operator on the day rather than promised in advance. If you want to land — on an island, a beach or a private estate — that landing is a separate question the operator answers separately.
What to send
- The area you want to see and where you would start and finish.
- How much time you have and the group size.
- What you actually want from the flight: views, a specific landmark, swimming or lunch ashore, photographs.
- Whether you want to land anywhere, or stay airborne throughout.
City skyline tours and landmark flights
Searched as: city helicopter tour · helicopter sightseeing over a city · skyline helicopter flight
A city tour is a flight over an urban area — the skyline, the landmarks, the river or the harbour — usually leaving from a heliport or airport outside the busiest districts, because cities rarely allow helicopters to take off and land where visitors would like them to.
Urban airspace has strict low-level rules, minimum heights and fixed corridors, so the viewing route is shaped by air traffic control and the operator, not by the passenger. Night flights, hovering over a landmark and landing inside the city each need separate confirmation and may not be permitted at all.
What to send
- The city you have in mind and the date and time of day you would prefer.
- Which views matter to you — skyline, landmarks, waterfront, stadium or park.
- Group size and how long you want to be airborne.
- Whether you want to finish somewhere else rather than return to the start.
What every helicopter request should contain
- Where you want to start and where you want to finish, or the area if you are still choosing.
- The date, the time window and how flexible that timing is.
- The number of passengers and the bags each person brings.
- Whether the flight is one-way, a return, a round trip or several stops.
- Anything that changes the aircraft: children, skis, instruments, pets, medical equipment, wheelchair access.
- Who decides and who to call if the plan changes.
What decides the price of a helicopter flight
SkyMatch publishes no prices, in any language. Prices move with the operator, the aircraft committed for your date and the airports or landing points used, so a figure copied from another mission would mislead you. What an operator quotes for is built from these factors:
- The route flown and the distance involved.
- The aircraft type an operator can commit for your date.
- Flight hours, plus any positioning of the aircraft to and from your departure point.
- Landing, helipad and handling charges at each end.
- Waiting or overnight time, crew accommodation and any second aircraft.
- Taxes and local fees that apply where the flight takes place.
Send the brief and the operators that can take it reply with a written quote for that mission. Flight times quoted by any calculator on this site are planning estimates; the licensed operator confirms the final itinerary and each landing.
