SkyMatch Group Expands Private Aviation Strategy Into eVTOL Air Taxis and Next-Generation Vertical Mobility

The announcement

SkyMatch Group, the global helicopter charter matching network, is extending its private aviation strategy into eVTOL air taxis and next-generation vertical mobility. The company will apply the same operator-verification and demand-matching model it uses for helicopter charter to electric vertical aircraft as certified commercial services enter service.

SkyMatch does not operate aircraft. It matches travellers, family offices and corporate flight departments with independent licensed operators, and will extend that network to certified eVTOL operators and vertiport partners as routes open.

Why vertical mobility

Short city-to-airport, coastal and island sectors — the corridors SkyMatch already serves by helicopter across the Mediterranean, the Gulf and Northern Europe — are the same sectors first-generation eVTOL aircraft are designed for. Existing demand data from those corridors informs which routes are prioritised.

The company is building an early-access register so travellers and partners can be notified as certified services and vertiports become available in their market.

Availability

eVTOL air taxi services are not yet commercially available. SkyMatch's current bookable service remains helicopter charter through independent licensed operators across 18+ countries, in 16 languages.
