Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Monaco Heliport at Fontvieille is roughly a 7-minute helicopter flight, flown many times a day in season. Indicative private pricing starts around €1,700 per leg for a light twin, with a coordinated car for the last few minutes to Casino Square or the guest's hotel.
Nice–Monaco exists because the alternative is the coast road. Seven minutes in the air replaces a drive that can stretch past an hour in season, and the corridor is served by several operators, which is why short-notice movements are more realistic here than almost anywhere else.
For a casino weekend, the practical value is at the departure end too: a guest can leave the Carré d'Or with an hour to spare and still make an international flight from Nice.
Cannes to Monaco is around ten minutes, Saint-Tropez around twenty from La Môle. Guests attending the Grand Prix, the Yacht Show or a festival often chain two or three of these sectors in a day; planning them as one itinerary rather than three separate bookings usually improves both the price and the timings.
All Monaco arrivals are at the Fontvieille heliport. A short coordinated car transfer covers the last few minutes to the Hôtel de Paris, the Hermitage, Casino Square or a berth in Port Hercule. There is no landing on hotel or casino property.
During the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix and the Monaco Yacht Show, aircraft, crews and heliport slots are committed far in advance and road closures make the helicopter the only fast option — which is exactly why it sells out. Requests for those weeks belong in the diary months ahead, not days.
