Yes. Black Rock City operates a temporary FAA-recognised airstrip, 88NV, for the duration of the event, with dedicated rotary parking and a passenger reception area. All arrivals must be pre-coordinated with BRC Airport operations, and every passenger still needs a valid event ticket plus a vehicle pass or an approved airport arrival credential.

How much luggage can we bring?
Playa kit is bulky, so luggage — not seats — is usually the limiting factor. Plan on roughly 20 kg (44 lb) of soft bags per passenger on a light twin. For bikes, shade structures, water and camp gear we usually add a second rotation or a fixed-wing freight leg into 88NV.
Is dust a problem for helicopter operations on the playa?
It is the main operational variable. Whiteouts and dust storms can close 88NV at short notice, so every mission is built with a flexible departure window and a Reno hold plan. Operators fly experienced desert crews and brief brownout landing procedures as standard.
Can you arrange the return and Exodus departure too?
Yes, and you should book it at the same time. Exodus is the single busiest window of the event and rotary capacity out of 88NV sells out well before gates open. We hold both legs together and coordinate your onward private jet from Reno.
How far in advance should we book?
For Burning Man 2026 we recommend confirming by June. Nevada rotary capacity is finite and the same aircraft are contracted for camp logistics, media and medical standby during the event week.
