Nice airport to Port Hercule is 45 to 70 minutes by road on an ordinary day and considerably worse during MYS, when the Basse Corniche, the Boulevard du Larvotto and the Fontvieille tunnels absorb four days of show traffic on top of normal Principality congestion. The flight is seven minutes, gate to héliport.
Because the show runs to a viewing schedule rather than a start time, the value of the helicopter at MYS is not the arrival — it is being able to hold six appointments in a day across Nice, Cannes and Port Hercule without losing three hours to the coast road.
