An independent third-party operator. SkyMatch coordinates and does not operate aircraft; operational responsibility remains with the operator.

Helicopter transport planned for festival organisers and promoters: artist and DJ rotations, VIP and sponsor movement, remote desert and mountain sites, private jet connections and 4x4 ground legs, sourced through licensed operators.

Artist and DJ rotations planned as one schedule across the operational window
VIP, sponsor and hospitality legs on the same aircraft standby rather than ad hoc bookings
Remote desert, mountain, island and greenfield sites where the road transfer is the real problem
Private jet to helicopter handovers on the same apron where handling and slots allow
4x4 and secure ground legs coordinated for the section that cannot be flown
Landing point, permits and operator verified per mission — never assumed in a schedule
A named coordination contact for the event days and a written movement plan

Why touring teams use SkyMatch

SkyMatch is a helicopter charter coordination platform, not an operator. Flights are performed and contracted by suitable licensed third-party operators, subject to aircraft and crew availability, local regulations, landing-site approval and weather.

One request point

Instead of finding a helicopter provider in each city yourself, send the mission requirements once. We source operators in each market and come back with the options that exist.

Complex itineraries

A run can involve several countries, airports, venues, festivals and hotels. The whole itinerary is handled through one coordination contact rather than separate local bookings.

Built around the deadline

Planning starts from the arrival time you need — soundcheck, load-in, doors or stage time — and works backwards through the road leg, turnaround and flight, with a buffer written in.

Private jet connections

Helicopter options are coordinated around the tour aircraft’s actual arrival or departure at the FBO, so the jet is not held on the ground waiting for ground transport.

Multi-leg planning

Airport to venue, venue to hotel, hotel to the next airport, festival to festival — legs can be requested together and quoted as one plan.

Event and festival traffic

Where road access around a site becomes unpredictable, a helicopter leg can protect the schedule. Where the road leg is short and clear, we will say so.

Discretion

Movements are treated as confidential and briefs can be issued under NDA. Operators receive only the operational information they need to fly; the artist's public name is not required to source a flight.

Short-notice requests

Touring schedules change. Urgent requests are accepted and sourced, subject to aircraft, crew and landing availability on the day — nothing is confirmed until the operator confirms it.

Tour movement brief

  • Departure point (airport, FBO, venue, hotel or festival)
  • Destination point
  • Date and the time you must be on the ground
  • Number of passengers, split by artist, management, security and crew
  • Luggage and case list — dimensions and weights where you have them
  • Instruments travelling in the cabin
  • Private jet details: airport, tail arrival time, FBO
  • Additional legs and any return flight
  • The next scheduled commitment after this movement
  • How flexible the timing is, and your ground fallback

Pricing is quotation-based

What moves the price

  • Aircraft class and passenger or baggage capacity required
  • Flight time and the operator's positioning to and from the start point
  • Waiting time between legs on a show day
  • Landing and handling fees at each point
  • Night operation, if the departure falls after last light
  • Date pressure — peak festival weekends draw on a small local fleet
  • Number of legs and whether one aircraft can cover the whole run

There is no published fixed price for a show-day transfer. The operator issues the figure for your specific legs, on top of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. With multiple artists in a short operational window, one aircraft on regional standby flying staggered rotations is normally more efficient and more reliable than several separate bookings. It needs arrival slots spaced by roughly 60–90 minutes and a single agreed movement schedule.

Usually yes, subject to crew duty limits, daylight, fuel availability at the departure point and the turnaround time on the ground. Remote sites are the limiting factor because refuelling and lighting are often not available on site.

Only where the organiser nominates a suitable landing area, it is surveyed and secured, and the local authority or regulator approves it in the event plan. Where that does not exist, the flight uses the nearest licensed gateway with a secure ground leg. The pilot in command makes the final call on the day.

The pattern is a jet or airline leg to the nearest licensed gateway, a short helicopter sector toward the site, then a 4x4 or secure ground leg if the camp itself is not an approved landing point. Dust, surface, daylight and weather minima drive what is realistic, so the plan is built with the operator rather than around a wish.

Only where a lit, approved landing site and a qualified crew are confirmed in advance. Unlit remote and mountain sites are day-only, so post-set departures are commonly re-timed to the following morning or routed from a lit airport. Confirm this before it is promised in a contract or rider.

Where the airport's handling agent and slots allow, a jet can hand over to a helicopter on the same apron. This is the usual shape for international artist and sponsor arrivals.

For a licensed gateway and a ground leg, weeks is often workable. For a landing area at a remote or greenfield site, start three to six months ahead — the survey, organiser sign-off and authority approval take far longer than the aircraft booking.

Per mission. The drivers are aircraft class, positioning into the region, the number of rotations, waiting time on site and any permit and handling costs. Any figure before operator quotes is indicative and subject to aircraft, route, permits and availability.
